diminishing

like the moon you were, fading from full,
you were disposable, single use,
fare weather friend in the semi-moonlight.
we mourned our equal losses before moving, onwards, back into our own worlds...

since you asked
i'm sure you could think of something. There are over 60,000 words in the english language and you have only used 14 of them. and if you run out of words think of all the other languages and nuances. Here you are all alliterating, pontificating and perplexed when obviously your answer lies in the very words you aren't using.
